The Library provides information support to the Research and Development activities of the Institute. It has now a collection of 11,718 books including bound volumes of journals, besides free publications such as Annual reports, Newsletters, Scientific and technical publications etc. received from other Indian and foreign organizations.

The Library subscribes to 25 foreign and 60 Indian journals and one Online Database on Indian Agricultural Statistics. Services like Current awareness, CD & Online search, Scanning, and Photocopying are rendered to the users on request basis. The Library provides access to E-journals through CeRA (Consortium on E-Resources in Agriculture) under NAIP (National Agriculture Innovation Project), coordinated by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Hard copies of research articles are being provided to users through its Request-Article service.

Our Library subscribes to the following online databases/ journals for the year 2011:

  2. Indian Agricultural Statistics Database
  3. Proceedings of ISSCT (International Society of Sugarcane Technologists)
  4. Wiley-Blackwell Journals (about 80) through CeRA
