Procedures to be followed:

A request letter along with bio-data should be submitted to The Director, directorsbiicar@gmail.com or sbitechnicalcell@gmail.com through the HOD or Principal of the college/university where the student pursuing his/her studies.

Available areas: Life Science, Bio-Technology, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Plant Tissue Culture, Plant Physiology, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Soil Science / Chemistry, Entomology / Nematology / Zoology, Food Science etc., and few areas in Social Sciences.

Necessary Documents to be submitted are as follows:

Internship/exposure training programme (15/21/31 days):

  • Resume / Bio-data
  • Bonafide certificate from the college/university
  • Request letter in HoDs’ Letter Head
  • Undertaking is not compulsory          

Project Work (3 / 6 months) :

  • Resume / Bio-data
  • Bonafide certificate from the college/university
  • Request letter in HoDs’ Letter Head
  • Undertaking form (Click here to download) in HoDs’ Letter Head

Kindly specify the tentative date of commencement, duration and area of exposure in your request for allotment. The student allotment to the internship programme / project work will be intimated officially to the concerned college/university email id, 15 days prior to the allotted date. Preferring Scientist (by name) from this Institute as internship/project guide is not entertained. Also, the request mails received directly from the students with respect to their internship/project will not be entertained.

Fee Structure:

 The allotted students are informed to pay the institutional fee at the time of joining to the internship / project as per the fee structure furnished below.

  • Internship (15/21/30 days) : Rs.5000/-
  • Project work (up to 3 months) : Rs.20000/-
  • Project work (> 3 months & up to 6 months) : Rs.30000/-

Mode of Payment:

  • Online or Card payment only

Note:

  • All correspondences from ICAR- SUGARCANE BREEDING INSTITUTE will be made only to the official address of Head of Department or Principal of the college.
  • Participants need to make their own arrangements for accommodation and food.
