The campaign was conducted in an areca grove with trees in bearing with orange-yellow to red drupes which looked quite healthy. Buffalo grass as a cover crop is a smart move to regulate soil moisture, outcompete major weeds and act as a living mulch; the field is being irrigated with micro-irrigation. \u00a0They were advised to opt for organic manuring like bonemeal, farm yard manure for sustaining soil health and reducing the usage of fertilizers; and keep the fields well drained as the crop does not tolerate waterlogging. Application of bonemeal mixtures was demonstrated to them.
